Book Review: The Prophecy of the Exiled Rogue by Sandeep Adnani

‘The Prophecy of the Exiled Rogue’, third book in the Exiled Rogue series, picks up shortly after the events of the last one, The Origin of the Exiled Rogue. As usual with this series, we’ve got the Host, Zhang Wei, Matthew, Tristan, Aurora, Maya and Sid as the on-going main characters, all fulfilling their roles in a prophecy that will alter the course of the world. The characters have never been in more harrowing circumstances. The plot is exciting and complex enough to keep any reader enthralled with the unspooling of events.

The Exiled Rogue series is a fictionalized adventure that illustrates very real spiritual themes and realities. I love the adventure format because it keeps you engaged and interested in the plot and process, while learning some really important spiritual lessons along the way. Our hero’s journey for knowledge and enlightenment started in The Codes of the Exiled Rogue, the first book in the series. Now in this third and final book, Sandeep Adnani brings the conclusion that leads to a collective consciousness, pulls religions together, and bridges earthbound and the afterlife.

It is an exciting adventure that challenges your pre-conceived philosophical ideas while affirming your beliefs at the same time. The Exiled Rogue series is worth the read on your journey to find enlightenment, the hope and understanding that all want in their lives. Author Sandeep Adnani has explained the concepts he wishes to convey to readers by inserting them as the dialogue that the characters of his story engage in as they attempt to progress through the trials, twists and turns of their journey. Trying not to give spoilers, the profound gravity of the book is when one reads and explores the ideas for oneself.

In the Exiled Rogue series, Sandeep Adnani explores the fields of science, religion and mysticism. They are an avenue for him to discuss his ideas about the humanity that many of us believe in via our various beliefs. I enjoy his stories because they make you think about the things you believe and strengthen your understanding. The underlying purpose of his novels is to share themes that help facilitate the reader to discover or decide on an appropriate destiny for themselves, as well as to raise up for the reader an attractive vision to work towards, of how humankind could one day live on Earth – given that humanity is able to align to an appropriate path of progress and development.

It is interesting to note that the level of details Sandeep Adnani uses to describe the environmental setting is not highly descriptive or complex, so there is a certain amount of freedom provided in leaving it up to the reader to imagine and construct gaps in the description for themselves. Building on that, he uses simple descriptions for his environment. This seems like a straightforward technique that would be easy to emulate for the writers that are looking to develop their talent from basic capabilities, or writers that only wish to convey a story through a simplistic medium.

Sandeep Adnani is an incredible author with an incredible message. The book, even though it is apparently fictionalized to a large extent, taps into some very real human emotions and connections, leaving the reader to reach their own conclusions about the message within. Because of how it’s written in narrative form, the lessons are experienced rather than memorized and in that way resonate more with readers.
